About Us

The renovated Old school Villa lies at the heart of Bloke Plateau in Nova vas, close to Postojna cave and Cerknica Lake, yet far away from concrete cities and the dull routine of everyday life. A completely renovated villa invites all nature –lovers and sports enthusiasts to pay a visit and enjoy unspoiled nature. The villa offers cozy 9 rooms (single, double, triple and quadruple rooms). All rooms have a private bathroom with a shower. The villa also has a large multipurpose room for seminars, meetings and various group activities. About Bloke Plateau

The muncipality of Bloke Plateau covers the whole of the Bloke Plateau, which lies at a height of between 720 and 800 meters above sea level. The center of the municipality is Nova vas, Bloke plateau’s nickname is the »Slovene Tibet«. Internationally Bloke plateau is most famous for skiing, that was first described in 1689 and it is sometimes referred to as the cradle of skiing in central Europe. Thanks to its unique terrain and unspoilt nature.

Story of Our Villa

Old school villa was first a family home. Before that, the local primary school, but today the memory of students running around barefoot across meadows of unspoiled nature plateau Bloke is distant. Why not make this a wonderful environment a starting point to enjoy all sights and activites that are right in your doorstep, where the legend Martin Krpan illegally transported English salt over the Karst all the way to the sea? Today‘s Old school villa, embedded in the surrounding area is connected to the locals. We offer the possibility of active holidays, participation in thematic events, or just quietly sitting on the terrace in the company of birds, with views of the mountains of muted Bloke Plateau.

Bloke Plateau is excellent destination for cycling, hiking, horse riding, cross-country skiing and in winter also snow kiting. Bloško jezero-a man-made lake on the plateau is popular spot that attracts visitors in both summer and winter, it is suitable for swimming.
